Slachtofferhulp Nederland is a non-profit organization that offers assistance to victims of a crime, traffic accident, stalking or burglary. They help victims to continue with their lives by offering emotional help, guidance during criminal proceedings and help with compensation. Slachtofferhulp Nederland developed a more accessible and practical website, with the goal of reaching more victims. Therefore Kunststoff was commissioned to create a series of animations where all these themes are explained. These animations are going to be used on the website.
For this project I had the creative lead to design a matching animation style.
Since the theme is so serious and sensitive for victims, it was better to not create cartoonish characters, but characters with realistic body proportions. To avoid complex emotions of victims, we chose to not use faces. We tried to show the emotions and feelings of the victims through subtle movements.
